A report from Brazil says that two new General Motors factories at Lansing, Michigan, in the United States will use the same production model as the GM Gravatai plant Rio Grande do Sul state.

At Gravatai, the model sites 16 parts suppliers near the plant who deliver to the plant in small trucks. An elevated delivery system then speeds the components to the right place on the assembly line, a process that cuts logistics costs by 20 percent.
