Fiat has produced its 10 millionth car in Brazil where the Italian carmaker has been building cars and light commercial vehicles since 1976.
The Betim factory now produces 15 different models and hundreds of variants, with more than 3,000 vehicles produced per day. This is helping give Fiat more than a quarter of the local market in Brazil and the number one spot, with 60,628 vehicles sold in May alone.
The company took more than a quarter of the market, ahead of Volkswagen and General Motors, and claimed the top spot for the first five months of this year.
