BP is about to open a new EV charging site at its US headquarters in Houston, Texas.

The station would be the first BP Pulse branded ‘gigahub’ in the US and opens to the public in April, with 24 high speed Tritium 150kW DC fast chargers.

Earlier this month, BP Pulse said it had acquired one of Europe’s largest truck refuelling facilities, Ashford International Truckstop in Kent, southern England.

It was part of a BP strategy to assist HGV fleets to electrify. The site has room for 20 megawatt chargers, 10 400kW units and 125 100kW versions.

The first megawatt chargers should be ready in 2026.
