Robert Bosch has signed an agreement with Chinese mobility technology startup Human Horizons which will strengthen their collaboration in cloud based electric vehicle battery technology.

Called Battery in the Cloud, the technology connects electric vehicle batteries with cloud based services which substantially improve their performance and service life.

The two companies plan to combine resources to develop and produce cloud batteries and algorithms for Human Horizons' forthcoming Smart Pure Electric Vehicle.

Human Horizons self describes as a technology company focused on intelligent mobility solutions.

The company said it signed the agreement at the Bosch Connected World 2020 conference last week.

Human Horizons founder and chairman Ding Lei said the agreement "further accentuates the company's commitment to developing and producing truly smart vehicles with a secured open platform that continuously adapts through deep learning".
