VW-owned Bentley Motors, in collaboration with Dezer Development, has announced the official ground breaking of Bentley Residences Miami, the first Bentley-branded residential tower.

The luxury development (situated on a stretch of oceanfront at 18401 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach) will feature four innovative car lifts and glass-ensconced sky garages that ‘exhibit cars like art’ in each of the 216 private residences.

It is planned that the luxury condominium will rise 62 stories and offer ‘sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway’. Bentley says the development will set a new precedent for resort-style luxury living on the beach with five-star hospitality and service. Completion is planned for the end of 2027.

“Breaking ground on Bentley Residences is a huge milestone for the project and another step closer to bringing our vision to life,” said Gil Dezer, President of Dezer Development. “We are excited to introduce a completely new elevated residential experience to Sunny Isles Beach and look forward to continuing the relationship with Bentley Motors to deliver a one-of-a-kind project.”

Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in partnership with Bentley Motors, Bentley Residences, the developers say they will ‘carefully integrate Bentley’s most distinctive design cues into its architecture and interiors’. The iconic diamond-quilted pattern adorning Bentley door panels, for example, will be recreated on the tower’s façade through diamond-shaped glass panels ‘angled meticulously to refract natural light’. As a result, it is claimed the exterior will ‘glimmer in the sunlight’. These same patterns and silhouettes are echoed throughout the building, including the diamond-embossed stone in the primary bathrooms and the diamond-shaped floor tiles spanning the lobby.

Christophe Georges, President and CEO of Bentley Motors, Inc. says: “We are very pleased to celebrate this key milestone in the development of Bentley Residences Miami. A demonstration of our commitment to great design, the development will create a living experience that expresses the very philosophy of the Bentley brand.”

The car elevator innovation makes three- and four-car sky garages within each residence possible and offers ‘convenient, secure storage for private car collections’. Complete with the option for EV charging amenities, these sky garages also provide additional space for storage and small motorized vehicles such as wave runners and motorcycles.

The private homes at Bentley Residences will also offer expansive private outdoor spaces. Every individual balcony will have a private heated swimming pool, summer kitchen and ‘generous living area specially engineered to cut through any gusty winds so that residents can easily light a candle even 30 floors in the air’.

Interiors include Gaggenau kitchen appliances, Italian designed cabinetry and motorized doors that hide the space with a wave of the hand; the primary bathrooms double as home spas with private saunas; there are also behind-mirror TVs and outdoor showers in select residences. As with the façade, the interiors also feature subtle nods to the Bentley brand, it is claimed. The iconic diamond patterning, as well as its chrome finishes and unique textured door handles, knobs and pulls, are incorporated in ‘small but impactful ways that will resonate with Bentley brand enthusiasts’.

Spanning 2.4 acres, Bentley Residences will be situated along one of ‘Miami’s most picturesque beaches’. The tower represents the ‘exciting future of the site’s former Thunderbird Hotel’.

The property will feature a ‘lushly landscaped beach club’ and oceanfront pool deck complete with food and beverage service, cabanas and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a 20,000-square-foot collection of amenities including a whiskey bar, cigar lounge, wellness and revitalization spa, cinema and oceanfront beauty salon.

Celebrity chef Todd English will ‘curate the menu and dining experience for an exclusive private restaurant, which also offers catering, demonstrations, and food and wine pairings to residents’.

Pricing starts at $5.6 million.
