German supplier Benteler Automotive has hosted an opening reception for its new sales and engineering office location in Coventry, England. Laurent Favre, CEO Benteler Automotive, and Andrew Gill, Global Customer Line director and Key Account executive Benteler Automotive, welcomed guests from key customer Jaguar Land Rover, Department for International Trade (UK) representatives and Benteler employees.

The new location in England is a second location next to the Benteler component plant in Corby which was built in 1996. Benteler says it represents an important step in Benteler Automotive’s development in England and also within its customer relationship with Jaguar Land Rover. “We are close to our customers: We aim to be present in their key markets to closely collaborate on excellent products and services”, explains Laurent Favre, CEO Benteler Automotive. Benteler’s customers benefit from the competence the company has and shares globally across markets. Coventry will be the eighth location supplying Jaguar Land Rover, who is one of Benteler’s key customers.

“Our new location in England will primarily focus on improving the relationship with our customer Jaguar Land Rover. Coventry houses the activities of engineering, programme management and sales”, added Andrew Gill, Global Customer Line director and Key Account executive Benteler Automotive. With this new location and the existing component plant in Corby, Benteler strengthens its existing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover who has been a key customer since the late 1980’s. “Due to our long-term working relationship, we are able to support in various fields and develop new technologies. We provide a high level of innovation skills and problem-solving expertise”, Gill completes. In addition to England, Benteler also supplies Jaguar Land Rover in Brazil, India and China, as well as continental Europe.

Coventry is situated in the West Midlands, near to the city of Birmingham. This location ensures a quick and responsive reaction to customer needs with convenient access to Benteler worldwide facilities and headquarters. By 2019, Benteler expects to employ around twelve employees (FTE) in this location.
