Toyota has established a new company, Toyota Nordic A/S, located in the Copenhagen area (Herlev) of Denmark to gradually consolidate business support functions in the areas of human resources, finance and accounting, information systems and administration, and support co-operation for marketing and strategic planning for the national marketing and sales companies (NMSCs) of Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

This move is intended to strengthen Toyota’s marketing and sales operations in the Nordic area. Toyota Nordic A/S, a fully-owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Marketing Europe (TMME), will be headed by Toru Nomura.

In a statement, TMME said the new structure will allow the national organisations to focus on key sales and marketing activities in their respective countries, while making best use of available resources through combining ‘back office’ functions across the Nordic region.

“It will increase operating efficiency, speed-up decision-making and strengthen Toyota’s competitive position in the Nordic region,” the statement said.
