Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has named Orhan Ozer president and CEO of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) starting 1 July.
Ozer, a Turkish citizen aged 53, joined Toyota in 1995 as head of finance and administration in Turkey. In December 2002, he moved to TME HQ in Brussels to head information systems, accounting and finance. In July 2008, he became senior vice president of TMMT.
Ozer succeeds Tamer Unlu, who will be appointed senior advisor there.
TME also appointed Mika Elojärvi as president of Toyota Finland.
The Finnish citizen, 44, joined Toyota in his native land in 1989, holding several sales and marketing posts until 2002. That year he joined TME to head the sales planning division. In 2006 he headed both Toyota Nordic and Toyota Auto Finland before, in 2008, moving to VP of Toyota Motor Czech.
Elojärvi replaces Kari Skogster who will now head aftersales at TME.
