European Automotive supplier organisation, CLEPA CEO, Jean-Marc Gales, has stepped down from his post, with no indication yet of who will replace him long-term.
Current CLEPA president and French suppliers association, Arnaud de David-Beauregard, will act as CEO in the meantime following Gales’ departure yesterday (30 April) after two years with the powerful component association.
“At the helm of an experienced and efficient team, Jean-Marc has been instrumental in reinforcing CLEPA’s position as the leading European automotive supplier association,” said David-Beauregard.
“We are thankful to Jean-Marc for his invaluable contribution to CLEPA’s operations and wish him every success for his future career plans.”
Formerly PSA Peugeot-Citroen board member, Gales has spent most of his career in the automotive business, mainly with Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, General Motors and BMW.
At the Detroit motor show in January, Gales outlined to just-auto his wish to see harmonisation of standards that can be recognised as equivalent on both sides of the Atlantic.
