Baidu is partnering with Elektrobit (EB) to provide automotive infrastructure software for the former’s Apollo Computing Unit (ACU) for autonomous driving.
EB is providing its tresos automotive basic software products to the Baidu ACU-Advanced Automated Valet Parking project. EB tresos enables the development of Autosar (Automotive Open System Architecture) standard-compliant software for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) up to ISO 26262 ASIL D.
“Baidu Apollo has made tremendous strides in just two years since its launch, with support from leaders in the automotive industry, in China and around the world,” said Elektrobit president and MD, Alexander Kocher.
“China is an important market for EB, therefore we are glad to bring our products and experience into the ACU.”
Elektrobit is a global supplier of embedded and connected software products and services for the automotive industry.
EB’s software powers more than 1bn devices in 100m vehicles and offers solutions for connected car infrastructure, human machine interface (HMI) technologies, navigation, driver assistance, electronic control units (ECUs) and software engineering services.
