Autocrypt, a vehicle testing solutions provider, has partnered with Hitachi Solutions to introduce the AutoCrypt Security Fuzzer to the Japanese market.

The new distribution agreement builds upon the existing partnership between the two companies.

This marks the first time the “globally recognised” Security Fuzzer will be available in Japan.

Autocrypt already offers its V2X security solution with the option to integrate its security library with Hitachi Solution’s Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Middleware Platform.

The collaboration aligns with Hitachi Solutions’ focus on delivering advanced cybersecurity tools and Autocrypt’s expertise in optimised testing technologies for the automotive industry, Autocrypt said.

Autocrypt CEO and co-founder Duksoo Kim said: “We are delighted to work together with Hitachi Solutions to bring our fuzzing solution to the Japanese market.

“As the industry embraces SDVs, there is mounting pressure for manufacturers and suppliers to meet standards and regulations, and our tool offers support so there is no interruption in the compliance process.

“We are confident that AutoCrypt Security Fuzzer will address the current challenges in the automotive cybersecurity landscape, and contribute to safer, more reliable automotive software.”

Designed specifically for in-vehicle software development and testing, the AutoCrypt Security Fuzzer boasts automated test case generation, with over one million test cases based on ISO 14229-1:2020.

It supports all 26 Service Identifiers (SIDs) defined in the Unified Diagnostic Service (UDS) protocol.

The tool also provides continuous automated execution for individual Electronic Control Units (ECUs) or integrated systems, optimising the testing process.

Users of the AutoCrypt Security Fuzzer receive comprehensive key test results, including summaries and visualisations of major outcomes.

This feature enables developers to quickly review and re-execute tests to address detected vulnerabilities.

Last year, US-based e-mobility hub Emobi and Autocrypt announced the US-based ‘Plug & Charge’ ecosystem powered by AI for EV charging.
