SiriusXM and Audi of America say the German automaker has selected the former's Connected Vehicle Services to power emergency services for the next generation of Audi connect.
The new emergency service will be available beginning with the model year 2017 Audi Q7, which goes on sale in January next year.
SiriusXM will provide Audi customers with SOS Call, which features automatic crash notification and manual emergency call. SiriusXM will also support Stolen Vehicle Location services.
"SiriusXM offers Audi customers access to safety and security services as well as years of expertise providing a national service to drivers," said Audi of America Connected Vehicles, Anupam Malhotra.
"We are excited to broaden the variety of services and features provided by SiriusXM, ranging from satellite radio to emergency services and all delivered with a premium customer experience."
