Aston Martin has appointed a Romania-based distributor for that country and central and eastern Europe.

Local website romania-insider.com, citing the automaker's local representatives, reported Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer was scheduled to visit Bucharest on 27 March for the official launch of the company's operations in Romania and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.

The event would take place at the Aston Martin Center in Otopeni, near Bucharest, which was opened in autumn 2018.

The Aston Martin brand is represented in Romania and the region by Romanian group Forza Rossa which also distributes and supports Italian luxury car brand Ferrari.

The group is controlled by local entrepreneur Camelia Bazac and its operations are coordinated by Cristian Colteanu, a former general manager of GE Romania.
