“As we prepare for the challenges that lay ahead, our industry needs to increase the focus on supplier to supplier relationships in a way similar to improving OEM Tier 1 supplier relationships during the past years.”
She highlighted the importance of the organisation’s influence within North America, citing its 450 system integrators, component suppliers and service providers that support the local assembly plants.
“OESA is working on collaborating on transparency with supplier to supplier relationships,” she said.
“As many of us have seen during our recent challenges, tremendous value can be unlocked when collaboration in the entire value chain is the strongest.
“You will see the results of OESA’s efforts in many areas including our tooling forum [and] our chief purchasing officers’ council.
“There is a [chance] for new suppliers to adopt these opportunities for their supply chains.”
