New OESA (Original Equipment Suppliers Association) president and CEO, Julie Fream, says her organisation will actively address supplier to supplier relationships.
Speaking at this week’s Automotive News World Congress, the new supplier chief said: “I would like to address one issue that impacts the entire automotive value chain – supplier collaboration.
“As we prepare for the challenges that lay ahead, our industry needs to increase the focus on supplier to supplier relationships in a way similar to improving OEM Tier 1 supplier relationships during the past years.”
She highlighted the importance of the organisation’s influence within North America, citing its 450 system integrators, component suppliers and service providers that support the local assembly plants.
“OESA is working on collaborating on transparency with supplier to supplier relationships,” she said.
“As many of us have seen during our recent challenges, tremendous value can be unlocked when collaboration in the entire value chain is the strongest.
