AEye, a software company, has completed the initial high-volume production of its Apollo LiDAR sensors at Lite-On Technology’s (LITEON) manufacturing line in Taipei, Taiwan.
Apollo, known for its exceptional one-kilometre detection range at highway speeds, is set to redefine the standards of automotive safety and performance of autonomous transportation.

AEye CEO Matt Fisch said: “We recently announced that we were working with our automotive Tier 1 manufacturing partner, LITEON, to ramp up the Apollo production line. Today, I am pleased to share that the line is now operational with the first customer-ready units completed.

LITEON’s distribution of Apollo units marks a milestone in the partnership with AEye, aligning with AEye’s strategy of maintaining a low-capital business structure.
Apollo, the inaugural offering from AEye’s 4Sight Flex series of advanced LiDAR sensors, is designed to offer superior range and resolution. It has a wavelength of 1550nm.
