Tier One seating supplier Adient has named Douglas DelGrosso president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, effective 1 October, 2018. He’ll also join the board.
On the same date, Fritz Henderson will become non-executive chairman of the board.

Adient described DelGrosso as an automotive industry veteran who brings significant management and operational expertise to the company.
He’s currently president and CEO at supplier Chassix and, from 2012 to 2015, was president and CEO at Henniges Automotive. Before that, DelGrosso spent five years at TRW Automotive, most recently as vice president and general manager of global braking and suspension operations. Prior to TRW, DelGrosso was at Lear Corporation in a variety of operational roles over 20 years, his last post as president and chief operating officer.

He brings the right vision, leadership experience and operational expertise needed to drive Adient’s transformation forward,” said John Barth, interim chairman.
“In addition, we acknowledge the positive contributions made by Fritz Henderson, who has served as interim CEO since June, which helped stabilise the business and accelerate operational improvements.”
