Croatian auto plastics manufacturer AD Plastik said consolidated net profit fell 8.2% year on year in the first quarter of 2021, to HRK25.84m (US$4.1m/EUR3.4m).

The company’s operating income dropped 9.8% year on year to HRK327.21m in the first quarter, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) decreased 16.6% to HRK52.32m, AD Plastik said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange cited by SeeNews.com.

HRK239m of the operating income was generated in the EU and Serbia, down 16.5%, the report noted. For Russia, AD Plastik booked HRK88.2m in operating income in the first quarter, up 15.5%.

Earlier this month, AD Plastik said it had secured new deals worth EUR23.7m (US$28.2m).

The supplier inked a deal with AvtoVAZ worth EUR10.4m with an estimated duration of eight years.

Deals worth EUR 6.2m have also been sealed for this market with Nissan and the VW Group, with an estimated project duration of six and four years, respectively.
