France-based company Valeo’s IT hiring rose 4.7% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.87% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 9.84% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.76% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Valeo IT hiring in May 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Valeo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 85.42% in May 2022, and a 2.5% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 10.42% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 66.67%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.08% in May 2022, a 50% drop from April 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at Valeo
North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 68.75% share, which marked a 200% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 16.67%, registering a 60% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 14.58% share and a 70.83% drop over April 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 68.75% share in May 2022, a 200% growth over April 2022. India featured next with a 14.58% share, down 63.16% over the previous month. Germany recorded an 8.33% share, a decline of 66.67% compared with April 2022.
Entry Level jobs lead Valeo IT hiring activity in May 2022
Entry Level jobs held a share of 47.92%, up by 53.33% from April 2022. Junior Level positions with a 43.75% share, a decline of 38.24% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.33% share, down 50% over April 2022.
