France-based company Valeo’s IT hiring declined 7.2% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 8.19% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 17.36% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 1.16% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Valeo IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Valeo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.56% in September 2022, and a 54.46% drop over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 31.65% in September 2022, and registered a decline of 44.44%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 2.53% in September 2022, a 50% drop from August 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Valeo

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 50.63% share, which marked a 56.99% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 32.91%, registering a 62.5% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 16.46% share and a 74.51% drop over August 2022.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 49.37% share in September 2022, a 41.79% decline over August 2022. US featured next with a 32.91% share, up 85.71% over the previous month. France recorded a 7.59% share, a decline of 60% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Valeo IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.9%, down by 44.59% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 29.11% share, a decline of 65.15% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 18.99% share, down 42.31% over August 2022.
