The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.14% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.16% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s auto industry in June 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s auto industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Dana posted 143 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 31.25% over the previous month, followed by Ford Motor with 121 jobs and a 17.69% drop. PACCAR with 87 IT jobs and Robert Bosch with 69 jobs, recorded a 4.82% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while General Motors recorded an increase of 88.46% with 49 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.93%, down by 34.6% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.2% share, registered a decline of 22.08% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.87% share, down 15.46% over May 2022.
