The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.9% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.87% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 1.7% over the last three-month average share.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 12.8% share, an increase of 23.08% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 6.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s auto industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Tata Motors posted 64 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 3.23% over the previous month, followed by Motorpoint with 16 jobs and a 27.27% drop. Halfords Group with 11 IT jobs and BorgWarner with 7 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 133.33% flat growth, respectively, while Lotus Cars recorded a decline of 45.45% with 6 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.2%, down by 14.42% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.4% share, registered a decline of 12.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.4% share, flat growth over March 2022.
