The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 11.68% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 6.65% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 0.57% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Tesla IT hiring in September 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Tesla, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60.14% in September 2022, and a 13.13% drop over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 16.78% in September 2022, and registered growth of 50%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 9.79% in September 2022, a 100% rise from August 2022.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in September 2022 with an 81.12% share, which marked an 11.54% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 11.89%, registering a 45.16% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 6.99% share and a 150% rise over August 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 79.72% share in September 2022, an 11.76% growth over August 2022. Germany featured next with a 9.09% share, down 51.85% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 3.5% share, an increase of 66.67% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Tesla IT hiring activity in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.73%, up by 28.77% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 25.17% share, a decline of 30.77% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.09% share, down 7.14% over August 2022.
