
Sweden’s auto industry registered a 6.7% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 9.52% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.07% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 2.22% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s auto industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 59.78% in September 2022, registering a 5.17% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20.65% share, an increase of 35.71% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.39%, registering a 5.88% decline from August 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.09%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 5.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s auto industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
AB Volvo posted 41 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 57.69% over the previous month, followed by Scania with 23 jobs and an 8% drop. Volkswagen with 23 IT jobs and Robert Bosch with 3 jobs, recorded a 4.17% decline and a 70% decrease, respectively, while The Goodyear Tire & Rubber recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.83%, down by 6.94% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.39% share, registered an increase of 45.45% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.78% share, up 28.57% over August 2022.
