September 2022 has seen a decrease of 20.02% in the overall hiring activity when compared with August 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 6.78% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2022, registering a decrease of 0.31% over the last three-month average share.
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in September 2022
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 33.33% in September 2022, a 25% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 29.63% in September 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 14.81% in September 2022, a 20% drop from August 2022.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 14.81% in September 2022, a 42.86% decline over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 42.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s auto industry during September 2022 over previous month.
Robert Bosch posted 13 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a decline of 61.76% over the previous month, followed by OTTO FUCHS Hungary with 3 jobs and a flat growth. AB Volvo with 3 IT jobs and Tata Motors with 2 jobs, recorded a 25% drop and a 100% rise, respectively, while Voltz Motors recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during September 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s auto industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 77.78% share in September 2022, a 46.15% decrease over August 2022. Panama featured next with an 11.11% share, flat growth over the previous month. Jamaica recorded a 7.41% share, a flat growth compared with August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.48%, down by 33.33% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.11% share, registered a decline of 57.14% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.41% share, down 50% over August 2022.
