IT jobs accounted for a 5.1% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering a decrease of 2.02% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 37.5% in May 2022, a 62.5% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 25% in May 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 12.5% in May 2022, an 80% drop from April 2022.

AB Volvo posted 4 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a decline of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Bentley Motors with 1 job and a flat growth. Honda Motor with 1 IT job and Garrett Motion with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Continental recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.
