July 2022 has seen an increase of 4.1% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs accounted for an 8.97% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 0.96% over the last three-month average share.

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in July 2022

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 36% in July 2022, an 800% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 20% in July 2022, marking a 58.33% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 16% in July 2022, a 300% rise from June 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 122.22% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during July 2022 over previous month.

Plastal posted 7 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Lucid Group with 5 jobs and a flat growth. Ford Motor with 4 IT jobs and Faurecia with 2 jobs, recorded a 20% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Bridgestone recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry

Tunisia commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 28% share in July 2022, a 250% increase over June 2022. Saudi Arabia featured next with a 20% share, flat growth over the previous month. Cape Verde recorded a 16% share, a drop of 20% compared with June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76%, up by 35.71% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4% share, down 66.67% over June 2022.
