IT jobs accounted for a 20.73% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering an increase of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 69.09% in April 2022, a 58.33% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 10.91% in April 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 9.09% in April 2022, a flat growth from March 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 121.74% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during April 2022 over previous month.
General Motors posted 23 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 15% over the previous month, followed by Ford Motor with 19 jobs and a 533.33% growth. Stellantis with 3 IT jobs and Ampersand Rwanda with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Bridgestone recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 40% share in April 2022, a 22.22% increase over March 2022. Cape Verde featured next with a 34.55% share, up 533.33% over the previous month. Tunisia recorded a 5.45% share, a flat growth compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.82%, up by 47.83% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.82% share, registered a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.36% share, up 350% over March 2022.
