Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 68.89% in August 2022, a 244.44% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 22.22% in August 2022, marking a 42.86% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 6.67% in August 2022, a flat growth from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 94.74% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during August 2022 over previous month.
General Motors posted 10 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by Ford Motor with 9 jobs and a 125% growth. Fritz Draxlmaier GmbHKG with 7 IT jobs and Valeo with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% rise, respectively, while Lucid Group recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 26.67% share in August 2022, a 9.09% increase over July 2022. Cape Verde featured next with a 20% share, up 125% over the previous month. Saudi Arabia recorded a 17.78% share, a growth of 60% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.56%, up by 30.77% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.56% share, registered a growth of 250% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.89% share, down 20% over July 2022.
