IT jobs accounted for a 6.36% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering a decrease of 0.56% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 50% in May 2022, a 40% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 33.33% in May 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 8.33% in May 2022, a flat growth from April 2022.

Aptiv posted 3 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Mercedes-Benz Group with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Bridgestone with 2 IT jobs and Bentley Motors with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Faurecia recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.

South Africa commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 41.67% share in May 2022, a flat growth over April 2022.
