The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 153.85% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during October 2022 over previous month.

Stellantis posted 13 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 1200% over the previous month, followed by Mercedes-Benz Group with 11 jobs and a 450% growth. General Motors with 5 IT jobs and Motus Holdings with 2 jobs, recorded a 28.57% drop and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while Ford Motor recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry

Morocco commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 31.71% share in October 2022, a 1200% increase over September 2022. South Africa featured next with a 31.71% share, up 116.67% over the previous month. Israel recorded a 14.63% share, a drop of 25% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.85%, up by 68.75% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.95% share, registered a growth of 350% compared with the previous month.
