Mexico’s auto industry registered a 13.6% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.2% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.86% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 1.2% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.95% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s auto industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.35% in July 2022, registering a 43.28% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.57% share, a decrease of 23.53% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 13.51%, registering an 11.11% rise from June 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.11%, down 62.5% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 39.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s auto industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Continental posted 20 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 4.76% over the previous month, followed by AutoZone with 12 jobs and a 36.84% drop. Robert Bosch with 11 IT jobs and Mahle with 5 jobs, recorded a 77.08% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Faurecia recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.86%, down by 39.24% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.97% share, registered a decline of 46.88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.16% share, down 25% over June 2022.
