Germany-based company Mercedes-Benz Group’s IT hiring declined 13.8% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 15.64% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.35% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a flat growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Mercedes-Benz Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 65.43% in September 2022, and a 0.93% drop over August 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 12.96% in September 2022, and registered a decline of 22.22%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.35% in September 2022, a 16.67% drop from August 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Mercedes-Benz Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 60.49% share, which marked a 50.77% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 26.54%, registering a 56.12% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 11.73% share and a 26.92% drop over August 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.23% and a month-on-month flat growth.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 55.56% share in September 2022, a 50% growth over August 2022. US featured next with a 26.54% share, down 55.67% over the previous month. India recorded an 8.02% share, a decline of 43.48% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.75%, down by 15.04% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.84% share, a decline of 19.57% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.41% share, up 9.09% over August 2022.
