The industry’s overall hiring increased by 18.81% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.81% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 2.3% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 65.61% in August 2022, registering a 48.44% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.96% share, a decrease of 7.8% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 6.63%, registering a 26.32% rise from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.8%, down 69.34% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 140.96% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s auto industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Robert Bosch posted 142 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 517.39% over the previous month, followed by EDAG Engineering Group with 122 jobs and a flat growth. ZF Friedrichshafen with 71 IT jobs and Valeo with 67 jobs, recorded a 10.94% growth and a 23.86% decrease, respectively, while Renault recorded an increase of 292.31% with 51 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.35%, up by 30.77% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 32.46% share, registered a decline of 0.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.05% share, down 15.79% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.14%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
