Germany’s auto industry registered a 25.4% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 18.89% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.39% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.15% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.07% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry in June 2022.

Top five auto companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 633.68% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Robert Bosch posted 481 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 48000% over the previous month, followed by IAV with 66 jobs and a flat growth. Continental with 61 IT jobs and Mercedes-Benz Group with 58 jobs, recorded an 117.86% growth and a 12.12% decrease, respectively, while Schaeffler recorded a flat growth with 31 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.23%, up by 142.11% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.97% share, registered an increase of 117.65% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 11.68% share, up 17.65% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.12%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
