The industry’s overall hiring increased by 19.26% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.11% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.28% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 78.87% in August 2022, registering a 227.16% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 9.92% share, an increase of 72.41% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.46%, registering a 30.95% rise from July 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.47%, up 75% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 506.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Robert Bosch posted 643 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 954.1% over the previous month, followed by Mercedes-Benz Group with 51 jobs and a 7.27% drop. EDAG Engineering Group with 43 IT jobs and Daimler Truck with 26 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Tesla recorded an increase of 85.71% with 26 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.06%, up by 214.01% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 10.52% share, registered an increase of 112% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 9.33% share, up 44.62% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.1%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
