Germany’s auto industry registered a 15.4% drop in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.22% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.54% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 74.15% in April 2022, registering a 57.42% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.39% share, a decrease of 46.25% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.7%, registering a 50.68% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.83%, down 9.09% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 60.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Robert Bosch posted 130 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 80.03% over the previous month, followed by Mercedes-Benz Group with 69 jobs and a 146.43% growth. Bayerische Motoren Werke with 45 IT jobs and Continental with 37 jobs, recorded an 11.76% decline and a 17.78% decrease, respectively, while Valeo recorded an increase of 80% with 36 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.98%, down by 58.95% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.46% share, registered a decline of 34.02% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.56% share, down 38.82% over March 2022.
