The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.59% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.74% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.17% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry in July 2022.

Top five auto companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 74.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s auto industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Robert Bosch posted 61 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 90.16% over the previous month, followed by Mercedes-Benz Group with 54 jobs and a 27.03% drop. Continental with 45 IT jobs and Volkswagen with 26 jobs, recorded a 30.77% decline and a 21.21% decrease, respectively, while Prettl Electronics Automotive recorded an increase of 800% with 18 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.92%, down by 68.98% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.3% share, registered a decline of 44.35% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.51% share, down 64.03% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.27%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
