France’s auto industry registered a 7.9% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.58% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.33% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.08% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.05% in June 2022, registering a 48.72% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.11% share, a decrease of 27.59% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.63%, registering a 33.33% decline from May 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.16%, down 40% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 72.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Continental posted 25 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 257.14% over the previous month, followed by Faurecia with 20 jobs and a 23.08% drop. Robert Bosch with 12 IT jobs and AB Volvo with 10 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% growth, respectively, while Valeo recorded an increase of 250% with 7 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.21%, flat growth from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.21% share, registered an increase of 4.55% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.58% share, up 22.22% over May 2022.
