France’s auto industry registered a 6.9% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.54% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.97% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry in October 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 37.17% in October 2022, registering a 5% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 36.28% share, an increase of 173.33% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.47%, registering a 100% rise from September 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.31%, up 50% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 137.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Stellantis posted 36 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 3500% over the previous month, followed by Renault with 21 jobs and a 90.91% growth. Faurecia with 18 IT jobs and Goodyear Tire & Rubber with 13 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 44.44% growth, respectively, while AB Volvo recorded an increase of 75% with 7 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.34%, up by 75% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.27% share, registered an increase of 114.29% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.39% share, down 17.65% over September 2022.
