France’s auto industry registered a 3.1% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.19% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.39% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 54.29% in September 2022, registering an 11.63% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.43% share, a decrease of 40% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.71%, registering an 8.33% decline from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.71%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.41% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Faurecia posted 15 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Renault with 11 jobs and a 1000% growth. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber with 9 IT jobs and Vitesco Technologies Group with 9 jobs, recorded a 10% decline and a 30.77% decrease, respectively, while Valeo recorded a decline of 60% with 6 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.14%, down by 11.32% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.86% share, registered a decline of 36% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10% share, down 12.5% over August 2022.
