France’s auto industry registered a 0.3% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.45% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.75% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.89% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 49.38% in August 2022, registering an 81.82% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 29.63% share, an increase of 33.33% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.58%, registering a 10% rise from July 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.94%, up 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 80% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s auto industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Faurecia posted 15 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Valeo with 15 jobs and a 650% growth. Continental with 12 IT jobs and Vitesco Technologies Group with 11 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while The Goodyear Tire & Rubber recorded an increase of 25% with 10 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.49%, up by 53.13% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.63% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.88% share, down 27.27% over July 2022.
