June 2022 has seen an increase of 10.94% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 12.02% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.49% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 67.77% in June 2022, a 95.62% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.49% in June 2022, marking a 17.81% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 6.68% in June 2022, a 28.31% drop from May 2022.

Top five auto companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 608.97% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s auto industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Robert Bosch posted 686 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 68500% over the previous month, followed by Continental with 230 jobs and a 283.33% growth. IAV with 69 IT jobs and Mercedes-Benz Group with 62 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 10.14% drop, respectively, while Motorpoint recorded a 126.92% increase with 59 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s auto industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 48.06% share in June 2022, an 111.88% increase over May 2022. Romania featured next with a 12.07% share, up 46.26% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 10.5% share, a growth of 39.55% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.42%, up by 57.82% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.72% share, registered a growth of 72.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 12.8% share, up 16.33% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.06%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
