Germany-based company Continental’s IT hiring rose 20.4% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 15.11% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 16.18% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.19% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Continental IT hiring in June 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Continental, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 72.05% in June 2022, and a 168.82% rise over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 18.44% in June 2022, and registered growth of 88.24%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.61% in June 2022, a flat growth from May 2022.

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 66.28% share, which marked a 283.33% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 23.05%, registering a 53.85% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 10.37% share and a 7.69% drop over May 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.29% and a month-on-month flat growth.
Romania commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 38.33% share in June 2022, a 786.67% growth over May 2022. Germany featured next with a 17.58% share, up 117.86% over the previous month. China recorded a 12.97% share, an increase of 73.08% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Continental IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.15%, up by 100.86% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.92% share, a growth of 361.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.93% share, up 82.35% over May 2022.
