China’s auto industry registered a 2.7% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 14.11% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.28% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.95% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 64.71% in June 2022, registering an 83.33% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.35% share, an increase of 2.2% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.71%, registering a 220% rise from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 2.35%, up 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 131.82% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s auto industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Robert Bosch posted 85 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Dongfeng Motor with 64 jobs and a flat growth. Continental with 45 IT jobs and BorgWarner with 38 jobs, recorded a 73.08% growth and a 37.7% decrease, respectively, while Aptiv recorded a flat growth with 23 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.76%, up by 32.49% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.71% share, registered an increase of 257.14% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 8.24% share, up 55.56% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.29%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
