China’s auto industry registered a 1.5% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.45% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.86% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.

Top five auto companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 115.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s auto industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

BorgWarner posted 52 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 300% over the previous month, followed by ZF Friedrichshafen with 40 jobs and a 37.93% growth. Aptiv with 23 IT jobs and Continental with 23 jobs, recorded a 53.33% growth and a 130% growth, respectively, while Chongqing Changan Automobile recorded an increase of 450% with 11 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 91.57%, up by 50.93% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 4.49% share, registered a decline of 57.89% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 3.93% share, down 22.22% over April 2022.
