US-based company BorgWarner’s IT hiring rose 75.1% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 66.2% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 12.06% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.68% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BorgWarner IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by BorgWarner, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.86% in May 2022, and a 380% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 24.32% in May 2022, and registered growth of 620%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 9.46% in May 2022, a 133.33% rise from April 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at BorgWarner

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 39.19% share, which marked a 241.18% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 35.14%, registering a 1200% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 25.68% share and a 216.67% rise over April 2022.

China commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 35.14% share in May 2022, a 300% growth over April 2022. US featured next with a 33.11% share, up 1533.33% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 5.41% share, an increase of 700% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead BorgWarner IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.95%, up by 275% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.27% share, a growth of 650% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.78% share, up 1200% over April 2022.
