July 2022 has seen a decrease of 0.31% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 13.5% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 1.23% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 56.45% in July 2022, a 10.72% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 21.73% in July 2022, marking an 11.92% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 14.38% in July 2022, a 33.33% rise from June 2022.

Top five auto companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 125.44% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s auto industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Ningbo Joyson Electronic posted 205 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 102.97% over the previous month, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra with 204 jobs and a 300% growth. Valeo with 99 IT jobs and Faurecia with 71 jobs, recorded a 253.57% rise and a 51.06% rise, respectively, while ZF Friedrichshafen recorded a 13.33% increase with 68 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s auto industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 55.15% share in July 2022, an 11.02% increase over June 2022. China featured next with a 32.76% share, down 11.28% over the previous month. Japan recorded a 4.58% share, a growth of 86.67% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.44%, down by 11.94% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.67% share, registered a decline of 9.31% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.56% share, up 43.1% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.33%, recording a month-on-month growth of 100%.
