Out of the total IT job titles posted by Aptiv, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.46% in May 2022, and a 68.57% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 27.08% in May 2022, and registered growth of 100%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 7.29% in May 2022, a 40% rise from April 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Aptiv

North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 35.42% share, which marked a 277.78% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 31.25%, registering a 20% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 30.21% share and a 52.63% rise over April 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.13% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in May 2022, a 300% growth over April 2022. China featured next with a 23.96% share, up 53.33% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 22.92% share, an increase of 46.67% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Aptiv IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.88%, up by 76.92% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.63% share, a growth of 36.36% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.5% share, up 300% over April 2022.
