Ireland-based company Aptiv’s IT hiring declined 10.1% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.81% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 21.53% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 2.79% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Aptiv IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Aptiv, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.94% in June 2022, and a 47.44% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 26.39% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 47.22%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 12.5% in June 2022, a 28.57% rise from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Aptiv

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 37.5% share, which marked a 12.9% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 33.33%, registering a 42.86% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 29.17% share and a 58.82% drop over May 2022.

China commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 31.94% share in June 2022, a flat growth over May 2022. US featured next with a 26.39% share, down 60.42% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 19.44% share, a decline of 50% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Aptiv IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.33%, down by 48.78% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 25% share, a decline of 21.74% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.67% share, down 45.45% over May 2022.
